First of all. This is fucking hilarious. This was shown to me by a fan who thought I might want to see it, from the site I have posted about previously.
Lets clarify this for a moment, because I feel personally, that I would like to do that.
First, I do not hate “sluts”… Every person has the right to live their life the way they chose to. I have quite a few girlfriends who you could consider “ahem” “slutty” … but they are real human beings with real hearts and own it and own their power and sleep with the people they choose to. They are real people.
They dont choose to be with “guys in bands” strictly because they are in bands. THAT is what I can not stand. Its fake as fuck. And I hate fake. Its power hungry and attention hungry and I also can not stand those things either.
On this “band whore” sight, girls 17, and 18 years old are writing in descriptions of themselves and then asking what band guys would go for them? That sounds to me, that they are willing to hook up with any band guy that will take them strictly because they are in a band??? Fucking gross. THAT is what I think is wrong.
Now here is the difference to me. I dont hate slutty, I hate fucking fake people and people who are willing to sleep with someone who has the tiniest ounce of fame because it makes them feel important for the 30 minutes. That is what I can not hang with.
And I am not saying my views or perspective make me better than anyone else. Im not saying “Im fucking better than anyone who stoops to those levels”.. We are all human beings and all I am saying is this is my personal perspective and the way my band chooses to behave.
To answer this anonymous persons question… The guys in my band have NEVER ONCE slept with anyone we meet on tour who is a fan. Never. And it will never happen. Not because I am the Queen ruler of all and they must abide by my rules…Its they dont want to. Sorry to disappoint but Jake wouldnt ever hook with a girl at a show or a fan. It would just NEVER happen. And have you seen him? He could have any girl he wanted at any time. But I guess we just arent your typical guys in a band. Its NOT because I wont let him. Jeezus.
I believe he “kissed” a girl once, several years ago on a tour at a show, and felt so fucking horrible about it, for like a week, and swore to never behave like that again. He makes his own choices. Jake has the most amazing and golden heart out of anyone I know.
And I am close friends with many guys in bands who do behave that way, and I do not judge them for it, I love them and adore them and again, this is just the way we choose to conduct ourselves.
We have respect for our fans. They come to the shows to see music, to be a part of something bigger than themselves, just as we do, we want to belong to you as much as you want to belong to us. I feel its disgusting to use shows as a way to shop for a hole to fuck that night. The guys in NYD see the fans as family and people we respect, even if the hottest girl was throwing herself at Jake, he would never ever stoop to that level. So if you come to a NYD show hoping to hook up with anyone, then you will be disappointed.
I read a bit from the website about “how to sleep with bands”… To the girls writing in asking how to get fucked by -insert band here- … why? Why not meet someone in a band and have a conversation? Connect intellectually and be remembered for being a cool person with a mind? Build a friendship instead of being “a person they fucked”?
You guys dont realize, I am on the other side of that fence. I am the one that hears those girls getting made fun of by the other band members, hearing their story told as entertainment to everyone else on the tour. Why would you want to be that person?
The people we remember are the girls, who are thoughtful, kind, respectful, smart and lovely to speak with and hang out with. Be THAT girl. Be THAT story.
That is my advice to you.

Also, I took a little look through this “band whore blog”… and I personally know almost all the people this girl is talking about and I can say that SO MUCH of that information is wrong. So, if you’re in your teens and reading that shit, throw your lap top out of the window and wash the unclean off of yourself.

Aw no way, thanks :) The only people that “talk shit” (such a lame term) on me, are people who follow a trend of hating on someone by a certain fan base because of my outspoken attitude towards a specific band that HAPPENS to be their favorite band. Sorry yo, I speak my mind, and I really do not care about who I offend in the process.
Its called being a real person, everyone should try it sometime.
